A Note from the Superintendent . . .

We know that there are many resources available right now for families to use to continue their children's learning while they are at home during this four-week break.  We encourage you to consider how you can use these resources to encourage your children to read, practice math concepts, etc if that works for you and your family.

Ar-We-Va, East Sac County, and South Central Calhoun CSD is not providing online education to students because online learning done well is more than sharing assignments to be completed by students.  We have not provided our staff the resources in terms of professional development, to deliver quality online learning so we do not believe it is fair for our students or staff to provide online instruction at this time.

Teachers have shared information with students and families about resources or ideas for continuous learning while students are home.  Anything shared by your child's teacher should only be considered learning resources for students and families. We are not collecting work, grading work, etc.  If you received something that you or your child thinks is homework, please let your child's building principal know so we can correct this situation.

Educationally
